The latest cookbook from the authors of the popular blog Six Sisters' Stuff (sixsistersstuff.com) is a compilation of their favorite sweets with a few gift ideas. Most of the desserts are quick and easy and use ingredients found in most grocery stores, including cake mixes and instant pudding. Each recipe is accompanied by a mouthwatering color photo, often the same one that was featured in the blog. The contents are family friendly if not exactly healthy. Some are new twists on old favorites, such as Snickers cupcakes, and others are older-style recipes readers might remember but haven't had for ages, such as poke cakes and dump cakes. Almost every recipe in the book can be found on their blog with a bit of searching, but there is little or no overlap of recipes from their other cookbooks (A Year with Six Sisters' Stuff). VERDICT Great for the beginning baker with a sweet tooth or those who prefer physical cookbooks to searching online.--Jane Hebert, Glenside P.L. Dist., Glendale Heights, IL
